Happy New Year everyone! I was away in Kuala Lumpur for the Christmas and New Year break and it was such a whirlwind catchup with friends and family!

The Journey Home

Left Mumbai from KL via Chennai on the 23rd to reach home on the 24th December. Lovely Thali Lunch at the Mumbai airport and a warm welcome from Dash and the furkids, Coco and Wookie! It was then a whirlwind of laundry, visiting my mother, planning for the week etc.

Then it was time to slap the apron on and start cooking!

Culinary Adventures over the Holiday Season

First up was some dinner for the family-Chapati, Dhall, Long Beans and Paneer Makhni

Then it was time for my regular Sunday Sapadu Lunch which was a full South Indian Spread for the family!

Caught up with Chef Paolo-our friend, the former chef from Zenzero and he invited us for dinner at his lovely home! What treat that was.

Lovely evening with enjoyable conversations about food and Paolo’s exciting new venture coming up in 2023!

Then it was time to host a New Year’s eve dinner with a small group of good friends at our home!

Oh and there was Cheese, Gajar (Carrot Halwa) and Fruit cake for dessert-sorry no photos!

With that we ushered in the New Year and it was time to pack and leave for Mumbai again!

Return to Mumbai

After an early 5am flight arrived back in Mumbai via Chennai. Had picked up a bug along the way and lost my voice but was still in good spirits! Arrived, dropped off my bags, rested, went for yoga, checked out a new restaurant-Greenr and started getting ready for the 3 weeks ahead of me!
